Skin Care and the kids

Do you have small kids?  Does the world seem to revolve around taking care of them, changing nappies, preparing lunches, washing the laundry and so on?  Well, that is how I feel at the moment.  With two sons, one aged two and the other aged six, I barely ever find time to dedicate to my beauty regime - something which I used to do immaculately every Saturday morning.  Oh, how I miss those times when I'd pamper myself knowing that in the evening I would look fabulous and have a great time - with no care in the world.

Caring for my skin has now become a two minute job which I do in between house chores.  I have discovered, however, that I can take care of my skin in very little time by using the right products (and I dare say that mys skin has never looked better).  For a very long time I used to believe that having fabulous skin meant a strict regimen and the application of innumerable face masks.  Not anymore!  I choose my products carefully now.  I have found that if you do invest in good products they give you a better result than if you buy products for skin care off the shelf of a supermarket.  Investing in beauty products means relying on the name of brands which have been there for a long time, with established laboratories and research scientists/botanists etc who are always trying to find better elements to be incorporated in a moisturiser or a cleanser.

After I had my second son, my skin was awful.  It was blotchy and I had the odd spot on my chin and forehead.  I did not have time for a daily regimen so what I did was to order over the internet some products which I first researched about.  I did this research in bed at night when the children were asleep. 

On the internet there is so much information.  I visited various websites of companies that manufacture skin care products and I judged them by the way they conveyed the message about their products.  If you do this you will discover that the ones that are serious about their product will answer questions.  They will have an anaesthetist or a beauty therapist who will answer your questions.  After having done all this I decided on two products - an all in one face and eye cleanser and toner and a good moisturiser.  That's all!  No night care and no extra costs.  A good daily moisturiser can also be applied at night.  It has all the nourishment for your skin.  I am happy that I did this little research because then I knew what I had to look for when buying my skin care products.
